It has been an interesting journey, as we draw to the end of 2017 and the start of 2018. I wanted to take a moment to apologize to the readers/community as I was not able to continue on with the podcast, life can some times, well just get a little crazy. It’s not to say that I woun’t possibly do a podcast in the future but things in my life still need settling. When I started the blog, I wanted to share my passion for gaming and #swtor.
Some time ago, I suffered a traumatic event. It had a tremendous affect on my health, that things havn’t been the same. It’s true what they say, it’s a long road to recovery. Now I don’t want to make this long and drawn out. Members of the swtor community helped me with learning how to podcast, in which I am grateful for (Thank you.). But certain personal issues came about that needed more of my attention, most importantly my health and finances. For anyone that may have felt asthough I had let them down, I apologize. It was never my intention to disappoint anyone in the community.
I have shared my views of games, and everyone has a different way of playing them. I am hoping that come 2018 that things in my life will be a bit more stable that maybe I can revisit the podcast.
But until then, I will continue to blog about swtor and games, and still post up #StarWars stuff on my facebook page. We all know how sometimes society can be so judgemental, and some times when going through a traumatic event can give people the wrong perception. We sometimes get so wrapped up with so much that sometimes we forget that maybe we need help from friends and family, or we take on more then we can handle. But most importantly we forget how to see things from that persons point of view and not realize that they are going through something we may or may not understand. And we need to remember to be patient and supportive. But the last thing that I ever wanted to do was to disappoint and let anyone down.
I do want to say thank you to the community for your support and understanding, and again I apologize if I had disappointed and/or let you down. I wish you the best holidays as Christmas is right around the corner and not to mention for you to have a safe and Happy New Year.
Stay tuned to The Balance Force.
Recently I have been playing #FinalFantasyXIV, I had a couple of friends that played Swtor asking me to try it out. That was about 3-4 months back, I was reluctant at first since I really didn’t know too much about the genre of #FinalFantasy. But since there is a free trial of the game, how could I really say no. And I’ll be honest I really had no idea that #SquareEnix made an MMO. So my friend said to me, “I think you’ll really enjoy this game.”. And like I said there’s the free trial. My friend took the time to explain to me what the jobs (classes) are and the races in the game.
I wanted to put out a review type of guide covering the basics of the game which I learned since I had started playing. But I don’t want to throw out too much information as to confuse anyone who might be new to trying FFXIV.
Over the past few months, I have not really had the desire to login to #swtor and thinking about as to why. And some may agree and others not so much. Now as most you know that I’m very direct and blunt in my blog posts. So I have had time to really think on some things, I spoke with friends that have left the game or waiting for their subs to run out. Lots of aspects have changed through the lifespan of the game and some more favorable to some players and other aspects still leaving much to desire. But let’s be real, yes I have tweeted out of the lack of content of the game, and it’s true. Some of you may ask/say to yourself “Yeah there is.”, but let’s break things down.
#CrisisOnUmbara is the latest to hit #Swtor, though from some players that I have spoke with feel asthough that it was a let down, not to mention that having to attain the new #Stronghold that you have to go through the story is annoying. Talking with friends/guildies over some of the aspects of the game as of late, and with the recent patch and the nerfs going out, several players I know have quit the game. They feel no desire to continue with Swtor. With a few of my friends leaving, it’s sad the direction that #Bioware is going. Several Nightmare/Master mode players I know have also felt similar and feel the game is just lacking in content.
I know it’s been awhile, but you know how things get in life and sometimes it’s gets crazy. Been a bit busy with work, and sometimes it cuts into recording podcats and playing. Thank you all for continuing to follow me I really appreciate your patience. I have some plans for upcoming podcasts that is a little of of the norm, hopefully as long as plans continue. But also let me say sorry for the break in podcasts, but timing of recordings is a bit of a challenge.
YAY! I just wanted to you everyone know that the first episode of the podcast is available right now on http://thebalanceforce.podbean.com/e/the-balance-force-podcast/. Itunes, Googleplay, and Stitcher soon to come. But I really wanted to get the podcast up and out there for all to enjoy. Please be gentle as we’re new to the #SWTOR podcasting community. We hope that the community enjoys us and we look forward to expanding it. We would like to thank community for enbracing us and we hope not to disappoint. It’s been something that I’ve been wanting to do for some time, and we all love the #StarWarsTheOldRepublic game. Feel free to leave us feedback, we would love to hear from you.
Special thanks to everyone in helping me. Happy holidays.
After a summer of silence, and months of anticipation #Bioware has given us some information on #kotet. New York Comic Con Cantina event gave us an inside look of the upcoming conclusion to #kotfe. Ideas of Bioware listening to it’s playerbase may have fallen on deaf ears, some have stated. Blur gave us a teaser trailer and a full trailer. In short, it’s a backstory on Vaylin, so obviously you have an idea of the direction of the story. Vaylin is Emperess now and it’s pretty much an ultimate battle of Good vs. Bad aka Light vs. Dark.
Bioware for awhile has wanted to go back to its roots of story story story-telling, #KnightsOfTheFallenEmpire was pretty much Bioware’s way of testing the waters and dipping their toes in a different direction of what MMO evolution they have in mind. Though KotFE came with mixed reviews, the foundation of the game was the same, now with the next step of a complete revamp of the whole system of the game.
It’s the 2016, and many podcasts, bloggers, sites are making predictions about the upcoming year involving #StarWarsTheOldRepublic #KnightOfTheFallenEmpire. Bioware is back from their vacation and working on releasing the new chapter in February. But the #swtor community has alot of questions concerning the direction of the game.
Well, it’s a bit since I got to post but I’ve been following the news to #KnightsoftheFallenEmpire. Now, I’ll try not to spoil anything. As of late I have been a bit busy with my acting career, not to mention with dealing with some personal items on my plate. Let’s dive into some #kotfe, shall we.
Trying to play on multiple servers can get a little confusing, like for example at a certain time on Jedi Covenant it just dies out. And on Harbinger, it seems to practically be rocking round the clock! It’s been a while since I played on Harbinger, I started on that server back in the day when the game launched.
Been playing with ‘Unholy Alliance’ guildies in our “WoG” group when I can, granted I missed last weeks run. Also, I wanted to give a special shoutout to the XtraLife Team for going the Xtra mile to raise money for Children’s Hospitals. Way to go team! I wish I could’ve participated but real life things came up.
We are about a month away from #KnightsoftheFallenEmpire expansion, and some information has been trickling out. Thanks to the wonderful miners of ToRCommunity we have gotten tidbits of upcoming things such as UI improvements. Recently, #Bioware had maintenance to make improvements to the back end systems to optimize load times, graphical improvements. And honestly, it’s been good so far, I’ve seen huge improvements on the load times.
