Casual End Game…

Over the past few months, I have not really had the desire to login to #swtor and thinking about as to why. And some may agree and others not so much. Now as most you know that I’m very direct and blunt in my blog posts. So I have had time to really think on some things, I spoke with friends that have left the game or waiting for their subs to run out. Lots of aspects have changed through the lifespan of the game and some more favorable to some players and other aspects still leaving much to desire. But let’s be real, yes I have tweeted out of the lack of content of the game, and it’s true. Some of you may ask/say to yourself “Yeah there is.”, but let’s break things down.

So much #KotFE Impression

Well, it’s a bit since I got to post but I’ve been following the news to #KnightsoftheFallenEmpire. Now, I’ll try not to spoil anything. As of late I have been a bit busy with my acting career, not to mention with dealing with some personal items on my plate. Let’s dive into some #kotfe, shall we.

Trying to play on multiple servers can get a little confusing, like for example at a certain time on Jedi Covenant it just dies out. And on Harbinger, it seems to practically be rocking round the clock! It’s been a while since I played on Harbinger, I started on that server back in the day when the game launched.

Been playing with ‘Unholy Alliance’ guildies in our “WoG” group when I can, granted I missed last weeks run. Also, I wanted to give a special shoutout to the XtraLife Team for going the Xtra mile to raise money for Children’s Hospitals. Way to go team! I wish I could’ve participated but real life things came up.

We are about a month away from #KnightsoftheFallenEmpire expansion, and some information has been trickling out. Thanks to the wonderful miners of ToRCommunity we have gotten tidbits of upcoming things such as UI improvements. Recently, #Bioware had maintenance to make improvements to the back end systems to optimize load times, graphical improvements. And honestly, it’s been good so far, I’ve seen huge improvements on the load times.

Light KotFE or Dark KotFE

As we draw closer to the release of #KnightsoftheFallenEmpire expansion, many of us wonder what exactly are we in stored for? Bioware hasn’t really said too much, but on August 26th a live stream will take place showing actual gameplay of #KotFE. Bioware decided that they were cancelling the Community Cantina and instead were doing a live stream where they’ll hand out Cantina codes to viewers and other swag they will be giving away. You’ll be able to watch through twitch.tv/swtor. The announcement is below (link).

PSA… Developer Harassment

Post on May 6th by John J. | Post 2. | Post 3.

Recently a Swtor Dev was harassed for a post on the forums, but to go to the degree of harassing ones family. Unacceptable, many players of Swtor will agree that this should never happen in any way, shape or form. It brings to light that these particular people don’t understand the particulars of communicating on a mature level. It’s shameful. And it affects the entire way we wanted Bioware to be more transparent on communicating with us, the player base.

For us players this is a game, a form of entertainment, a way to relax and have fun with friends. It’s NOT fun to affect a person who is doing their job and/or their family simply because one doesn’t like ‘X, Y, and Z’.

For example: Many of the healers were not happy with the proposed changes for 3.2.1. The Dev team asked for the opinions and feedback in regards to these changes. A majority of players presented a thoughtful and constructive point of views about these changes. And the changes for healers were reevaluated and pulled from 3.2.1.

Now, ofcourse this type of behavior upsets me simply because I feel that NO ONE should ever experience this type of situation.

No one has the right to harass a person and/or their family. All the best to John and his family.

Ziost story impression and disappointments

ziostbuilding

Recently I’ve got to go through the second part of the Ziost story, on my Sage. And so far I like what Bioware did storywise. But I can’t help to feel like it lacked in content. Now, keep in mind that you have to finish your storyline on Yavin in order to get the mission-story arch for Ziost. Once you get to Ziost, you meet up with Lana/Theron (depending on which side you’re playing on), pick up a few missions and evacuate some citizens and fight mind controlled minions of the Emperor and are introduced to “The Sixth Line Jedi Order” (in some cases people are calling ‘The Grey Jedi Order’).

It’s all about that XP

When The ‘Shadow of Revan’ expansion preorder was announced, I was excited about it. I just had to look up the details about it, and to my surprise 12x XP to class story, say whaaaaaaat! When I preordered I jumped into the game and started leveling up my lowbie toons. I crunch out several characters to 55, I think I went a little crazy with it. But I was happy to see that I did it, going through some of the class stories so quickly I was spacebarring just to get to 55. I wanted to be ready for the expansion.

So after the 12x XP was done, I started hearing that players wanted 12x XP to be brought back. And I said to myself, now THAT’S a great idea. But when?

Welcome to my Blog, The Balance Force…

swtorsmallbanner

Super excited about starting up my blog. I’ve always to write, and now I can do so about one of my favorite hobbies, Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. But I’m not just stopping there, since I’m a Star Wars fan, I have been reading the new books and got done with some of the older books. Well, mostly on audiobooks. I thought maybe I could share my thoughts on things. I definitely will be expanding my blog and adding more things. I just got started with this, so I’m hoping that you’ll stay around and enjoy my blog.
