Rise of the Emperor
First off, if you missed the Dev’s stream you can view it here. And there are some spoilers, so if you don’t want any spoilers. Than don’t watch it.
I will say that I personally think that the Dev’s did a good job with this stream, using the presentation that they were going to use for Pax East. Energy was good, the giveaways, nice touch.
Great that they’re building hype for ‘The Rise of the Emperor’, a new storyarch, and yes like the Devs said it did leave a few questions unanswered. I guess we’ll learn more once 3.2 hits the live servers. This stream seemed to cover PvE content, I was noticing in chat a lot of questions as to bug fixes, PvP, class balancing, cross-server, etc. If you can dodge a wrench, you dodge a question.
Cinematic intros were shown for both Republic and Imperial. Things that touched on was all taxi’s unlock, no more running around trying to get all the taxi’s unlocked. And a reduced quick travel down to 6 minutes, and with legacy perks it’s down to zero. So you can instantly travel from QT to QT point. Now that’s not too bad, I think that was long overdue. But Bioware is trying.
And finally, the long awaited ‘Outfit Designer’, details of this are currently on the PTS when the stream was ending. But it subs only for now.
Long awaited, but remember its another credit sink. But I plan on using it, but I’ll have to jump onto PTS to know more of the details. @R3dn4 has been Tweeting out some info on it already.
Exclusive Community Cantina mounts, I found this interesting but cool. So if you have a friend that goes to the Anaheim Cantina and you couldn’t go, once your friend redeems the code. He then gets a link to share with 5 of his friends, and once they claim their links, they each get links to share with their friends. So in short, it gives everyone a chance to get the Community Cantina mount. Which personally I think is a smart move on Bioware’s part. I think that’s pretty fair. I mean not everyone can go.
And also for May the 4th, ALL players will get a new pet, an M4-1S Astromech Droid. With the possibility of more to come with that.
More to come!!!!
I’ll be following this blog post up with another.
Stay tuned to the Force.

I missed the stream due to a terrible wireless connection, but that screenshot for the new Rise of the Emperor story arc looks a-MAY-zing (read like that commercial where the girls are talking on the phone for Capital One and she says “awesomesauce”)!!!!! I am seriously looking forward to that! Also, since I didn’t really get to see or understand what was going on with the Outfit Designer, can you tell me if R3d’s thoughts from his Ootinicast segments were correct? Is this basically a way for you to have your stats on one tab and the outfits on another? I am curious to see it in action, but nervous due to the amount of credits I could possibly sink into it. My stronghold is pretty bare because I do very little to it (also only have the one on DK) due to time restraints for my time in-game. Looking forward to checking this stream out though. Lang word on when we can expect Togruta?
